Hamster Success!!!

I found him.  The hamster was found!  He is safe in his cage, a little chewed on it looks...I hope he will be ok.  It looks like a cat or something carried him downstairs and he got away, hid under the couch  and came out when it felt safe!  I was sewing away on my sewing machine and he caught the corner of my eye!  Good thing because he also caught the dogs eyes too!  I scooped him up fast and put him safely in his cage!  Connor was ecstatic when I picked him up from school!  Whew...that hamster has to be down to one life left.  He has been through alot I tell you!  The stories I have...poor hamster!

Anyways..isn't this picture beautiful!  I love fall.  I just wish we had some sunny days here in Michigan!  Lately it has been all clouds and rain!  I want some nice Indian summer days!  Enjoy the picture!



A Missing Hamster and Some Stripes....

Hello Monday!  Let's bring this week on full force!  I have big plans for this week..to get lots done..and to feel super accomplished come weeks end!  That is my plan and I am sticking to it.  :) ( I hope!) Oh, and to find our missing hamster.  Yes, Connors hamster is missing in a house with a couple cats and two dogs.  Boo.  We looked for HOURS yesterday, upstairs, downstairs, basement, closets...you name it, we looked.  The only place we didn't look was in our cats belly.  I know, I know, I am trying to be optimistic that he is still alive...it hasn't been 24 hours yet.  Let's keep our fingers crossed that we come across him today!  My eyes are peeled!

I also thought I'd share some rooms with great stripes.  I don't know why but I am LOVING stripes right now and these pictures are some great inspiration!  I would LOVE to paint our entry in stripes!  Just something very subtle.... so enjoy and wish me luck on finding that little guy up there!

I am In Love...

I came across this picture the other day (not sure where!!)  :(  And fell in L-O-V-E with it!  I want everything, and I mean everything, in it!  There is not really one thing in there that I do not like.  The art?  Not totally 100% my style, but it is perfect for that room!!!  The bed, the table, the little settee!  Perfect-o!  And I love that pop of green in the throw...which is odd because my one room which is all greys and blues and sands and creamy whites...well, I found this piece of fabric on e-bay which is apple green and cream and a linen damask.  Well, I put it in that room and it looks sooo great with those colors!  Then, I saw this and thought "wow"!  I know, I am weird like that...  Anyways, we have a busy, busy week and just thought I would share this fantabulous room with you!

Right At Home!

Look who has made himself right at home here!  And we DO NOT let our other dog on the furniture!  What a hard habit to break!  But look at his face...he looks so comfy!

Cool Kids Room and Random Talk!

Things here have been hectic with it only being the 3rd day of school!  Meet the teacher was last night and that went well!  I hope we are off to a fantastic start to 3rd grade!  We have some exciting stuff going on as well, in our little town.  Sean Penn is here filming a movie like 2 blocks from mt house!  They actually just blocked off our entire street...so I am anxious to see what is going to go on.  I know some people that saw him last night, in of all places,  one of the bars here!  She even got a picture of him playing shuffle board!  I guess they will be filming here until the 15th... exciting stuff for a small town!

Anywho..I am sure some of you have seen this picture before.  I believe it is from Gwenyth Paltrows old house... correct me if I am wrong!  Isn't is superb though!  I love love love the chalkboard wall and when I see pics like this, it confirms even more that I want a whole wall done like that (still!!)  I just haven't had the guts to do it yet!  I also love the purple bunk beds!  Fabulous!  It is a great little kids room that isn't too babyish- just the way I like it!

Our New Addition.....

Look it what we got friday night!!!  He is a sweet little 9 month old mutt that we got from the shelter.  He is the sweetest, most loving little boy!  He sits, is already potty-trained and a little bundle of joy!  This picture is decieving though...he is small, less than 20 lbs and shorter than my knees.  Kirby, out other dog loves him too!  We took him to the farmers market yesterday and he did fantastic!  He has a great personality and looks like he is going to fit into our family just perfect!

We have a super busy end to the week and a FULL weekend!  Sooo, I thought I would just send some quick eye candy!  Aren't each and every one of these rooms fantastic!?
