New in Shop

Chalkboard Walls

How great are these chalkboard walls?!  I never thought about putting one behind the bed!  What a great way to send a message in the morning, or for those important early morning reminders!  I think it is a wonderful idea!  I also love the chalkboards within the frames, hung on the chalkboard wall!  How clever!  I am thinking I def. want to do one of these walls in my kitchen once it is done painted!! (which may be a couple more weeks!)  ahhh...we are so busy and just haven't had the time to bang it out!  Soon, I hope!

Well, I have a bunch of pillows to make today and get shipped out!  I am sooooo behind right now, I have some upset customers.....sorry!!  I am getting them out as fast as I can!  Hope you all have a great friday!

Rooms I Love

I love all these rooms!  Nate Berkus (last picture) is such a great designer. He has such a way with decorating that is so simple yet so put together!  I love his line of furniture too!  I also love that mirror in the second to last picture(country living).  It is such a great color grey! 

The sun is shining today here in Michigan and it is so nice to see!  There hasn't been much sun this winter, so it is a welcome surprise to wake up to!  I have to take Connor to the dentist today- oh fun!  He hates going to the dentist, as do I!  Like mother like son.  I hope you all have a nice day today!

I Want.....

Ok, I know I don't NEED these items, but in my dream world, I would have them! :)  Couch from Anthropologie, Rug from ???, and Savannah Chair and Ottoman from Pottery Barn (2, of them please!).  I'll even take the little dog on the couch.  I actually have two chairs that are similair shape to the chair above.  This summer I am going to have them slipcovered exactly like this one!  I CANNOT wait!  I the meantime, I will daydream about them!

Progress....

I feel like my little bulbs are already making progress!  They look like they are starting to grow more.. (I hope it just isn't wishful thinking!)  :)

Also, a new pillow fresh in my shop today!  Perfect for spring!

Birthday Weekend

Our weekend was filled with birthday celebrations!  Saturday was our little boys and Sunday my husbands.  I thought I'd share a few pictures from the weekend! 

Bench Re-Do

This is the bench I just re-did this weekend.  I think it turned out pretty cute considering the little bit that I did with it!  I apologize, I am stupid- I did not get a before picture.  I was rushing, trying to get things done before my little guys birthday party and I just quickly got to it and forgot to take before pictures!!  But really, all I did was paint the wood legs with two coats of paint, distressed them with some rough texture sandpaper and taked on some oatmeal linen fabrci.  I just cut the fabric to measure the seat cushion (which is attatched and was an ugly stained up cream chenille fabric) then folded under the edges and taked it into the fabric.  Simple and only took about an hour total!  Price- pretty much free. 

My cousin gave me the bench.

I had the paint.

I had the fabric.

I had the tacks!

Not too shabby, if I do say so myself! :)
