Valentines!! :)

Ahh....Valentines day! A lovely day to tell your loved ones how much you love them! Do you think it is a Hallmark day, like some? Or do you think it is a great day to remind yourself why you married the one you did, are dating the person you are, or are thankful for the kid you have? I myself, think it is a bit of both. My husband and I don't go all out, but we do celebrate it. We get our boy a little something and eachother a little something. Connor enjoys making decoartions and Valentines for his friends. I think it is great for kids to have days that are special like that and to be able to share things with them. They also need to know though that not just one day is for celebrating the ones you love! Every day is!! So I hope you and your family and loved ones all have a great Valentines Day and take that love throughout the whole year!!! :)

Amish :)

Hi! Geesh..it has been ahwile since I wrote. I have been meaning to and meaning too..just haven't had the chance! Yesterday was really nice out! Well, if you consider 34o nice! We have been so use to this freezing weather that that actually felt warm! We closed on our propert yesterday! (George sold 25 acres of our Greenland property!) to a nice Amish couple. They were very happy to be moving up here from Ohio to be closer to his family! I love the Amish! We know an Amish family pretty well since that property was right next to a family with 7 kids (and one on the way!) Plus they do alot of work on some of our rental houses we have. They have the sweetest kids! Connor loves playing with them- yet I am so nervous he will teach them something "bad"! Oh- poor Connor needs some minor surgery! He has a hernia. He is freaking out and so am I! It is not for a couple weeks yet, but he hates the thought already! He is not good about pain at all.....oh boy. Well I am in the process of making this cute little "Scarlette" stuffed animal for my Etsy shop- I haven't decided if it is going to be a kitty or an owl....check out my shop and see when it is done! Birthday Surprises

Hey everyone! I hope you all are having a great saturday! I am resting up- we have had a busy couple of days! Yesterday was my birthday! Yea- my hubby surprised me with a concert and night away in Ann Arbor thursday- thankfully the weather was cooperable. It would not be fun to drive three hours in snow! It was alot of fun but we had to get home and get Connor at the in-laws, go pick up the dog, drop Connor at a birthday party (for one of his friends) and go have my birthday dinner. Whew, it was a blur yesterday! So now I am 27- I have alot of goals for me this year! My Etsy shop is starting to pick up a little bit! I had 4 sales yesterday (I guess it was Etsy's birthday present to me!) I had two custom orders so I better start working on them! Have a great weekend all!

It is snowing! Again! This purple color reminds me of the tulips that come up on the side of our house every spring- so I chose it to cheer me up from my winter blues. I got an e-mail from Skully- an artist on Etsy and she said that she would like to make me the featured artist on her blog one of the upcoming weeks! So she sent me a list of questions for the interview part and 5 of my items will be featured on her blog! How exciting! I hope it generates some sales! I will post the link to her blog once I find out when I will be on it and if you want you can check it out! I am trying to figure out ways to get taffic to my blog- and how to be able to someday have featured artists and links to other sites and so forth! I am working on that so hopefully soon my blog will be spectacular! Well I have much needed laundry to attend to that I have been neglecting! I will write soon!

Winter Blues

Ok, winter is starting to wear on me! My little boy has school cancelled again because of this crazy weather and then a half of a day thursday and friday for something, who knows! My birthday is friday! Wahoo! A big 2-7! My husband says he has a surprise for me- so we shall see what it is! I will tell you all about it when it happens! I hope it happens! With this winter, you never know what you're going to get for snow! I just feel like I am under house arrest! It just has been so snowy and so cold and so windy for so long, I don't feel like leaving the house unless it is a must! I am sick of it! I need a warm spring day! Oh! i sold two items on my etsy shop of saturday night! Yea! I was excited! It had been awhile since I sold something so it was a nice confidence boost that I needed! Well I need to venture out in this crappy weather to get some groceries and send out my order! Have a great day and try to stay warm- unless you are already! ( if you are, i am so jealous!) :)

Ugh....it is s-l-o-w!

So it is slow eh...yea it is! That's Etsy I am talking about. My etsy shop is super slow right now and it is soooo frustrating! I mean, I love doing the etsy shop and all, but I wonder why my items are not selling while others, with similiar items as mine, are selling. What is the matter with my stuff!!? Ok, I needed to vent that out! I feel a bit better now! Not to mention it is still freezing bitter cold here and there isn't much you can (or want) to do whenit is 20 below! I don't even want to go get groceries or get the mail! I want spring! I feel like that will cheer me up...spring. Ahh...a breath of fresh air thought. All right. I am off to create- to create something that is going to sell! ( I can only hope!) Tata!
