The Feeling of Accomplishment!

Ahh..today was beautiful and full of stuff to do. I feel very good. You know those days when you get alot done on your to-do list and sit down at the end of the day, you know that feeling of just pure "whew, I'm whipped", but a good whipped. A feeling of accomplishment. My husband and I got in a bit ago of cleaning out the garage and raking all the leaves and doing a bunch of outside spring cleaning. It was such a relief to get it done. It is so refreshing to look at the yard and have it look so "springy" and fresh! I love it. A very productive day, if I do say so myself! Our little guy, Connor, was also helpful in digging out the leaves behind the bushes. It didn't last too long, as the trampoline was calling his name too loud, but it helped! We have a bit more to do tomorrow, but we did good today! I am happy! :)

Spring Has Sprung....I hope!

Wow! It is gorgeous outside. I just ran to the post office and it is beautiful! I hope it sticks around. I was begining to think that Michigan skipped over spring this year! Well, I am extremely happy to say that my physics class is done today and over with! It was my last class and now all I have is clinicals left to do! Not looking forward to it, but in a way I am . I know it is going to be pretty intense, but I know it needs to be done. (obviously). Things are going good- dedeetsyshop (my etsy shop) is starting to pick up! I have had a pretty good month- it is only my fourth month, but it is getting busier as I am learning the good times to list, the items people are interested in, and different ways to advertise. I had one of my little bird pillows just put on a blog www.kenziepoo.blogspot.com- it is the greatest little blog all about babies and baby decor. I just love it and was so surprised to see some of my pillows on there! Thanks so much to her!! Check it out- it has some adorable nursery pictures on there! So now that my classes are done for the semester I am going to start working on some new pillow ideas and perhaps thinking about doing some tables at a farmers market this summer. The one in my area is in a little resort town that gets ALOT of people in the summer and I might try it once and see how it goes. Has anyone had luck at places like that? Well I am off to ship out some Mini Bags of HOME! Will write soon!

Etsy Love

I haven't written in awhile. Oops. I have sooo much I want to write about, but don't want to babble on and on. I have been crazy busy, finishing up my semester (only have till friday- yippee!!), Easter was here (and gone) and spring break also. I had so many plans for spring break; get stuff organized, yard work, make a bunch of new pillow designs..ect. But nothing seemed to get done and the time went too fast! Ugh...why does time fly like that!? We did have a nice Easter- visited with family and friends. That is always nice. :) I am a little anxious to finish my phsyics class, it is my last before my clinicals, which I am grateful for,but I am nervous to see how long the waitlist is. I am afraid it is going to be like 3 years! I will soon find out I guess. I am hoping that whenever it is, we are moved closer by then so I won't have an hour drive to school everyday! My husband drives there everyday for work, and it would really stink if we are both commuting and hour each day there, seperatly! I did find a house I LOVE, that would only be like a 10-15 minute drive for both his work and my school! We would have to sell our house first though, and our house we are flipping. I don't think we could handle four mortgages! (The fourth one we at least have a renter in!) That is ANOTHER summer project, finishing up our flip! Last summer it was the house we have rented out right now, and this summer it is the house we plan on selling. It is going to be a cute little house- brand new inside and out! The trim is going up as I type this and cupboards are ordered and should be in by the end of the month. Then it is my turn to paint! I don't really mind painting....Well I guess I am babbling on and on, sorry about that...I will def. write more often, I have alot I want to talk about! This is my own little venting station! Hurry Spring!

Wow! I am getting some spring fever- bad! We just got back from visiting my brother and his family in Virginia and it was nice to get away from the snow for awhile! Now- it wasn't warm there, but it was a nice break from the below zero temps we have been getting here! Our visit was nice- his wife had twin girls!! They are too cute! I wanted to take one home with me!! Or both! Their little boy Cooper is adorable as ever too! I can't wait to visit with them again. We got to go to the aquarium while we were there and Connor got to see some sharks which were pretty cool. I liked the seals. On our way home we went and stayed in DC for a night and went to the White House and all the memorials. Connor thought that was neat. He took pictures to his class and gave a presentation on it! It was cold there though!!! School started back up for me- my last before clinicals! This class is physics- and it is hard! I just can't grasp some of the concepts it has and it is all too overwhelming for me for some reason! Ugh..only seven more weeks of it though! I am coming up with some great new spring pillows for my etsy shop- drop by and take a look- dedeetsyshop. Off to make dinner now!

Valentines!! :)

Ahh....Valentines day! A lovely day to tell your loved ones how much you love them! Do you think it is a Hallmark day, like some? Or do you think it is a great day to remind yourself why you married the one you did, are dating the person you are, or are thankful for the kid you have? I myself, think it is a bit of both. My husband and I don't go all out, but we do celebrate it. We get our boy a little something and eachother a little something. Connor enjoys making decoartions and Valentines for his friends. I think it is great for kids to have days that are special like that and to be able to share things with them. They also need to know though that not just one day is for celebrating the ones you love! Every day is!! So I hope you and your family and loved ones all have a great Valentines Day and take that love throughout the whole year!!! :)

Amish :)

Hi! Geesh..it has been ahwile since I wrote. I have been meaning to and meaning too..just haven't had the chance! Yesterday was really nice out! Well, if you consider 34o nice! We have been so use to this freezing weather that that actually felt warm! We closed on our propert yesterday! (George sold 25 acres of our Greenland property!) to a nice Amish couple. They were very happy to be moving up here from Ohio to be closer to his family! I love the Amish! We know an Amish family pretty well since that property was right next to a family with 7 kids (and one on the way!) Plus they do alot of work on some of our rental houses we have. They have the sweetest kids! Connor loves playing with them- yet I am so nervous he will teach them something "bad"! Oh- poor Connor needs some minor surgery! He has a hernia. He is freaking out and so am I! It is not for a couple weeks yet, but he hates the thought already! He is not good about pain at all.....oh boy. Well I am in the process of making this cute little "Scarlette" stuffed animal for my Etsy shop- I haven't decided if it is going to be a kitty or an owl....check out my shop and see when it is done! Birthday Surprises

Hey everyone! I hope you all are having a great saturday! I am resting up- we have had a busy couple of days! Yesterday was my birthday! Yea- my hubby surprised me with a concert and night away in Ann Arbor thursday- thankfully the weather was cooperable. It would not be fun to drive three hours in snow! It was alot of fun but we had to get home and get Connor at the in-laws, go pick up the dog, drop Connor at a birthday party (for one of his friends) and go have my birthday dinner. Whew, it was a blur yesterday! So now I am 27- I have alot of goals for me this year! My Etsy shop is starting to pick up a little bit! I had 4 sales yesterday (I guess it was Etsy's birthday present to me!) I had two custom orders so I better start working on them! Have a great weekend all!
