Lovely Stairs

Latley I have been drawn to beautiful stairs and staircases.  I wish ours was more interesting.  I also wish we had a big open staircase!  Aren't each and every one of these wonderful?



Today I am going to clean, clean and clean and make pillows!  My Grandma was here helping yesterday, so I have alot to ship out today!  On a sad note, Leonard (my MIL's boyfriend), passed away yesterday.  Please say a prayer for their family.  I did not know him too well, but my husband actually introduced them a couple years back, when he was a customer of my husands, and both of them being "new" widows, kind of connected and they formed a special relationship.  It is sad for her to have to go through this twice in 7 years!

So, I hope you all have a great day!  We have high wind warnings in Michigan today!  It is VERy windy out!

Monday Morning Goodies....

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a great weekend!  We had a fun saturday (Halloween Party) and then a sad sunday.  :(  My mother in laws "boy- friend" is on hospice right now and we went to visit him.  He is not doing well at all- not even able to open his eyes or communicate.  It is really sad, my mother in law lost her husband (my husbands father) about 7 years ago and now she is going to lose him.  That poor lady, what she has been through.  So please send prayers out to them!

On a happier note, I was scouring the internet for lovely room inspirations and came across these beauties!

And now...  I have been finding soo many interesting and intriguing pictures online.  They are all so inspiring and make me question my own decorating ideas on a daily basis!  It is a good and evil thing.  I love looking at all the fabulous rooms, but it also makes me want to change up my home on a daily basis.  Do I think I will ever be "settled" in my own decorating woes.  No. Never.  Do I want to be?  No!!  I have yet to find that balance yet though, of not wanting to change everything when I see a picture of something I love and want in my own home.  But I think that not settling, keeps your home interesting and full of surprises.  I have many people tell me they love coming to my house, just to see how I changed things around.  ( Now that I write that, I guess they don't come to see me?????!)   Hmm..

Anyways, my point is.  Don't  ever feel like you have to settle for a specific decor.  I feel like if I put things I love into my home, it will all make sense to me and make my home feel happy.  You don't have to be labeled "shabby chic" or "modern" or anything else like that. (unless of course you want to and that is what makes YOU happy!) But I am finding that if I  decorate my home with my heart , everything else falls into place the right way!

A New Dog...

We had totally planned not to....

But then we did...



Yes, that is the same dog!!  I thought he needed a fresh start..plus I really wanted to see what he looked like without all that fur!  We have had him almost 2 months now and he is fitting in just perfect!  We kinda liked him all raggy looking and all, but now this way, he will grow back a fresh new coat of fur that will be more easily manageable!  Plus, we had to do it before it got too cold!  Brr.....  

I tricked Connor that it was a new dog when he got home from school friday!  He fell for it, hook line and sinker!  Then I felt bad and told him the truth!  I am not a good liar! 

What did you do this weekend?  I got started on painting my coffee table...pics to come soon!  If I don't hear from  "A Thrifted Market" by the end of today, I will draw a new winner for the pillow!

Ok..now..Happy Friday!  This week went fast, don't you think?!  I really can't belive it is already friday.  I found this image I'm sharing awhile back.  Sorry, I don't know where it is from, but I love it!  It has to be my favorite at this moment.  Isn't everything just perfect.  I don't think I would change a thing!!

Have You Ever Met....

Have you Ever Met :

Wild Billy and Gibby?  Gibby is the little one and Wild Billy is the brown Velveteen like rabbit.  They are super sweet little bunnies.  Very calm.  Very friendly.  Connor wanted a rabbit for the longest time and this summer we (insanely) agreed and his Grandpa built him a cage.  We went to this stock yard type thing and they had dozens and dozens of bunnies to pick from.  These two went home with us.  They didn't even come from the same "stand" and now are best buds.  The little one follows the big one around all the time!  I swear these two little things are going to eat me broke though!  Man, they eat alot! 

The  little one is a bit sneaky...we have an entirely fenced in back yard and so they hop around back there sometimes..well the little one has snuck out a few times, but always ends up back in the yard.  We had to catch him once or twice, outside of the fence....a headache that I do not like!  They are super fun to watch though..hoping around and jumping like crazy, rabid rabbits at times.  We get a good laugh of out it at least!

We told Connor we are officially done with pets now.  Two dogs, three cats, two goldfish, one hamster and two rabbits is more than enough for someone who lives right in town!
